CDIB Capital Strengthens its Team with Two New Managing Directors and Senior Vice President Hire

Hong Kong, May 15, 2017

CDIB Capital International Corporation ("CDIB Capital"), the private equity arm of China Development Financial ("CDF"), expands its regional presence and strengthens its team hiring two Managing Directors, Hamilton Tang and Yinghai Xie in Hong Kong and Shanghai, respectively, and Sandy Ng as Senior Vice President in the investment and portfolio management team out of Shanghai.

Hamilton Tang was the Group Chief Executive Officer of Simon Murray & Company and Managing Partner of SMC Capital China ("SMC"), a Greater China focused investment management firm in private equity, long-only funds, hedge funds, fixed income, and other direct investments. Prior to that, his background includes appointments as co-CEO of Lark Entertainment, a regional entertainment company and Vice President at Morgan Stanley investment banking division in New York and Hong Kong. Hamilton received a JD-MBA from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, and an undergraduate degree from Harvard College.

Yinghai Xie was a Partner of SMC where he was responsible for private equity investments in China. Prior to joining SMC, he held appointments as Managing Director of Milestone Capital, Vice President of The Carlyle Group, Associate Director of Standard Chartered Private Equity, Investment Manager at Olympus Capital and as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers. Yinghai received a BA degree with High Honors in Economics and Mathematics from Wesleyan University, and is a board member of Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong.

Sandy Ng was a Principal of SMC. Prior to joining SMC, she has held appointments as Investment Manager at Xcelerate Ltd., a Shanghai based investment firm focused on early stage companies, and as Project Development Manager in a Singapore based private equity fund focusing on seed stage projects based in Chengdu, China. Prior to that, she managed global enterprise resource planning (ERP) and IT projects at Keppel FELS. She received a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
