Lionel de Saint-Exupery

Lionel is President and Co-Founder of CDIB Capital. Prior to CDIB Capital, Lionel was as a senior banker in the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers based in New York and London. During his investment banking career, Lionel worked on more than US$25 billion of public and private transactions in Mergers & Acquisitions as well as Equity and Debt Capital Markets. His experience spans across a broad range of industries such as Financial Services, Industrial, Consumer, Media, Technology and Business Services throughout North America, Europe and Asia. During those years, he advised leading private equity firms across a variety of leveraged buyout, trade sale and IPO transactions. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Lionel was a member of the Global Mergers & Acquisitions practice of Booz-Allen & Hamilton.

Lionel is a Director of Ecofin Fund Management Limited and SE Properties Limited. He also serves on the advisory boards of a number of private equity funds including the Asian Infrastructure Fund, Carlyle Asia Partners, Tenaya Capital, CX Partners and Riverwood Capital.

Lionel holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a BS in Finance & Entrepreneurship from France’s HEC School of Management.

Nan Zheng

Nan is a Senior Vice President at CDIB Capital's U.S. office. Prior to CDIB Capital, Nan was a senior member of the Private Equity team at the Special Situations Group of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, where she focused on the technology, media, and consumer retail verticals. Prior to Goldman Sachs, she was a Principal at Invesco Private Capital, where she led late stage venture capital deals. Nan also worked as an analyst within Goldman Sachs’ fixed income derivatives division.

Nan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and BA degrees in Economics and Statistics from Harvard College.

Kenneth Huang

Ken Huang is an Associate at CDIB Capital’s Menlo Park office. Prior to CDIB Capital, Ken worked in the investment banking division of Barclays Capital focusing on financial services, where he worked on numerous debt, equity and M&A transactions in the depository, insurance and specialty finance sectors. Ken’s deal experience includes the $13.9 billion sale of IndyMac Federal Bank and the initial public offering of First Interstate Bancsystem. Prior to Barclays Capital, Ken was an Analyst in the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers.

Ken holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a minor in Accounting.

Rennie Soga

Rennie is the Office Manager of CDIB Capital’s U.S. office, where she oversees the daily office operations and administration. Prior to joining CDIB Capital, Rennie served on U.S. Venture Partners’ finance team and was responsible for processing all legal documentation relating to investment operations for twenty-four venture capital partnerships and provided administrative support to the Venture Funds and Management Company Controllers. Prior to USVP, Rennie served as Executive Assistant to the Vice Chairman of Global Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley and supported their technology investment banking group in Menlo Park. Rennie has also held credit analysts positions with Bridge Bank and Comerica Bank’s Technology and Life Sciences Group.

Rennie attended San Francisco State University majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.
