Angelo J.Y. Koo currently serves as Chairman of CDIB Capital Group, Chairman and CEO of its subsidiary CDIB Capital, Chairman of CDF Foundation and Chairman of KGI Charity Foundation.

Prior to joining CDIB Capital Group, Angelo became President of KGI Securities (Taiwan) in 1996 and established KGI Securities (Hong Kong) in 1997, and within eight years (1996-2004), KGI Securities ’market capitalization had grown rapidly by around seven times and asset size by over 20 times, while also successfully bringing to completion the daunting challenge of integrating KGI Securities’ Pan-Asia deployment. During 2004-09, he served as President of China Development Financial Holding Corporation (CDF) and Chairman of China Development Industrial Bank, striking a balance between the development and internationalization of investment, securities, banking and other businesses. Under his leadership, CDF evolved from a company focused on domestic venture capital investment into a regional leader in direct investment, with a focus on growth capital and buyout financing. The group’s business footprint has expanded from the headquarters in Taipei to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai and New York, laying a solid foundation for the future development of CDF.

Angelo holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A from Northwestern University.

Paul currently serves as the Vice Chairman of China Development Financial ("CDF"), CDIB Capital Group and CDIB Capital International (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited, Chairman of CDF Foundation and Chairman of KGI Charity Foundation.  Paul has rejoined CDF in 2022 after being the Partner and CEO of Greater China for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (“KKR”).  For the three years under his leadership, KKR has been voted by Private Equity International as the Private Equity Firm of the Year for China.  Paul was previously served as the President and CEO of CDF.  Prior to CDF, Paul served as Managing Director at Development Bank of Singapore where he was responsible for DBS Bank’s private equity business across Asia. Prior to DBS, Paul was Managing Director of ICG Asia Ltd. Prior to that, he was with the Principal Investment Area of Goldman, Sachs & Co. based in New York and Hong Kong. Paul also served at General Atlantic Partners and at the Boston Consulting Group.

Paul is a Governor of the China Venture Capital Association ("CVCA").

Paul holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and MS and BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Lionel established CDIB Capital in its present form in 2006. He is based in Hong Kong and is primarily responsible for CDIB Capital overall strategy, day-to-day operations and leading investments in the “China-US” vertical.

Prior to CDIB Capital, Lionel was a senior banker in the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers based in New York and London. During his investment banking career, Lionel worked on more than US$45 billion of public and private transactions in Mergers & Acquisitions as well as Equity and Debt Capital Markets. During those years, he advised leading private equity firms across a variety of leveraged buyouts, trade sales and IPO transactions. Prior to Lehman Brothers, he was a member of the Global Mergers & Acquisitions practice of Booz-Allen & Hamilton.

Lionel sits on the Board of Directors of a number of the Group’s subsidiaries as well as some of the Group’s portfolio companies. He is also a trustee of the Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation.

Lionel holds an MBA with Distinctions from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a BS in Finance & Entrepreneurship from France’s HEC School of Management.

David T.Y. Chou currently serves as the Vice Chairman of CDIB Capital Group, Chairman of CDIB Private Equity (China) Corporation and Co-President of CDIB Capital International Corporation ("CCIC").  With over 25 years of experience in international finance, David has focused on mergers and acquisitions and has been actively involved in equity and debt capital raising activities in the Greater China market due to the vibrant local capital markets.

In 2000, David joined Goldman Sachs, where he played a key role in establishing and expanding the investment management business in Greater China. During his 20-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, he led investments in various asset classes and served on regional and global investment committees, contributing to the evaluation of deals worldwide.

David holds a Master of Engineering Administration from the Booth Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago and a Master of Science from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.

Hamilton serves as a Senior Advisor after his retirement from his Managing Director of CDIB Capital's Hong Kong office.  He has previously served as the group Chief Executive Officer of Simon Murray & Company and Managing Partner of SMC Capital China (“SMC”), a Greater China focused investment management firm in private equity, long only funds, hedge funds, fixed income, and other direct investments. Prior to that, his background includes appointments as co-CEO of UA Cinema (Hong Kong) and Vice President at Morgan Stanley investment banking division in New York and Hong Kong. 

Hamilton received a JD-MBA from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, and an undergraduate degree from Harvard College.

Melanie is a Managing Director of CDIB Capital. She is primarily responsible for overseeing the legal and compliance aspects and structuring of the Fund’s investments, in addition to other operational and administrative responsibilities. Prior to joining CDIB Capital, Melanie was the general counsel for the CDF group and before that Senior Attorney at Lee and Li, Attorneys-at-Law; where she had led or worked on numerous cross-border investments as well as high profile mergers and acquisitions, takeovers, privatization and international litigation/arbitration. Melanie is licensed to practice law in the State of California, USA and in Taiwan, and is a certified patent analyst and biotech industry management professional (Level 1) in Taiwan.

Melanie is currently the Committee Secretary for Corporate Social Responsibilities under the Board of Directors of CDF, spearheading several group-wide ESG projects. She sits on the board of the Foundation for Yunus Social Business, Taiwan.

Melanie holds an MSc. of Global Finance from the NYU Stern - Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, an LLM from Soochow University, and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College.

Gary is a Managing Director in CDIB Capital's Hong Kong Office. He focuses on sourcing, underwriting and managing special situation investments, co-investment opportunities and select fund investments. Prior to joining CDIB, Gary was a Director at Seekers Capital, a Hong Kong family office where he was responsible for sourcing and executing private equity investments across Asia Pacific. Prior to Seekers Capital, Gary was a Vice President with Oaktree Capital’s Asia Principal Opportunities Fund, where he focused on leveraged buyouts, growth equity, green field and PIPE deals in the Greater China region. Before Oaktree, Gary was with Credit Suisse First Boston’s Private Equity Group, where he focused on venture capital and buyout fund investments.

Gary holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in Business Administration from Georgetown University.

Stephen is a Managing Director of CDIB Capital's Shanghai Office. Prior to joining, Stephen served as Managing Director of PingAn Trust Private Equity Capital in Shanghai, and was responsible for monitoring, value creation, exit management, and risk assessment of all assets under management.  Prior to that, Stephen was Director of the Asia Operations Team of CVC Capital Partners, where he focused on post-investment operation value-add for its regional investment portfolio. He has also spent years in strategic and operational management consulting, responsible for operational improvement, procurement and supply chain management projects at Booz & Company and Deloitte Consulting. In his early career, he has spent over ten years in various large multinational corporations, including General Motors, John Deere, Henkel and AZ Electronic Materials, working in different geographies across Asia and North America.

Stephen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business of the University of Western Ontario in Canada.

Robert is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Regional Healthcare Practice Group of CDIB Capital. Prior to joining, he served as the Principal, Venture Investments at Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation (JJDC), responsible for the venture and private equity investments in life science and more broadly healthcare in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to JJDC, Robert served as the Director of Business Development & Strategy in Greater China at GlaxoSmithKline, based in Beijing. Prior to that, Robert worked in the Global Corporate Development & Strategy team of Charles River Laboratories, based in Boston, USA, and executed many acquisition and investment transactions in the US, Europe and Asia.

Robert holds a PhD in Pharmacology from University of Rochester, an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Master Degree in Medicine from Tongji Medical University. Robert also received the residency training in Urology at Union Hospital, Wuhan China.

Steven is a Managing Director of CDIB Capital's Taipei office. Prior to CDIB Capital, Steven served as Senior Vice President at China Venture Management, an investing affiliate of CDF. Prior to CDF, Steven was Senior Vice President at WI Harper (Taipei) and oversaw deal sourcing, investment evaluation, and portfolio management. Before joining WI Harper, he was Vice President of the Investment Department at Central Investment Holding Company, the largest investment holding company of the KMT Business Management Committee. Prior to that, he was a Senior Consultant in the corporate finance division of Arthur Andersen and Investment Manager of the Pacific Capital Fund Management Company. He also sits on the board of directors or serves as observer for several portfolio companies, including Great Rich Technologies Limited (900290.KS), Dongjin Green Tech Holdings and Jiangyin Suda Huicheng.  

Steven holds an MBA from George Washington University and a BS in Industrial Management from National Cheng Kung University.

Alex is a Managing Director and Head of the Buyout Group at CDIB Capital. Prior to joining, he was the Founder and Managing Partner of Rivendell Partners, a mid-market buyout firm in Greater China. Prior to that, Alex was a 20-year veteran of the Carlyle Group, where he served as Managing Director and invested in buyout transactions across a range of industries in Greater China, including telecom, media, financial services, business services, and industrial manufacturing. Alex has also worked as part of Carlyle's U.S. Real Estate Group before joining Carlyle in Asia.

Prior to Carlyle, Alex was an investment banker with CIBC Oppenheimer, where he focused on a variety of industries, including telecom and healthcare. Prior to that, Alex worked in both the Acquisition and Asset Management groups of Colony Capital, a global real estate private equity firm.

Alex received his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received a Master Degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Adi is a Senior Vice President in CDIB Capital’s New York office.  Prior to joining CDIB, Adi was a private equity investment professional at Eden Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm focused on business services, healthcare and education sectors based in New York.  Prior to Eden, Adi worked as an investment professional at Turning Rock Partners, a special situations investment firm; and Hudson Hill Capital, a middle market private equity firm.

Adi's earlier experiences include working with AxleTech International (a Carlyle portfolio company), Critical Point Partners and Platinum Equity in Los Angeles, as a member of Platinum's special situations and private equity investment teams, and as a research analyst at Lexecon in Chicago, an economic consulting firm and then joined BMO Capital Markets as an analyst on the M&A team.

Adi holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School and a B.Sc. in Economics and B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, where he graduated with a dual degree from the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business.

Prior to Barclays, Kenny was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche’s Capital Markets Structured Products team based in New York. During his MBA program, Kenny also worked as a Summer Associate in the Financial Sponsors and Leveraged Finance group at UBS Investment Bank in New York.

Kenny holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and a BS with dual concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Boston College, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.

Jason is a Senior Vice President and Head of Compliance in CDIB Capital’s Hong Kong Office. He is responsible for compliance, focusing on legal and compliance-related processes and operational controls to accomplish the highest standards of compliance and regulatory requirements. Jason joined from Diganari Capital Partners, served as Head of Compliance, Manager in Charge (“MIC”) of Compliance, Anti-Money-Laundering Officer (“AMLO”), and Money-Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”), and was responsible for their compliance advisory, AML, legal aspects and other internal control functions. He also worked as the Head of Legal and Compliance at ICBC Asset Management (Global) Limited prior to Diganari.

Jason is a qualified Australia Lawyer, a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (“CAMS”), a Bachelor of Laws (“LLB”) holder from the University of London, and a Master of Science in Contemporary China Studies (major in Economics) from Hong Kong Baptist University.

Helen is a Senior Vice President and Head of Finance in CDIB Capital’s Hong Kong office.  She oversees the finance and accounting functions for CCIC and its subsidiaries.  Prior to joining, Helen was Finance & Treasury Director of VMS Investment Group, a multi-strategy investment group focusing on private equity, real estate and structured finance as well as securities and corporate finance advisory services, leading the finance, treasury and fund operation functions.  Prior to that, Helen was Financial Controller at Verdant Capital Group, a private investment group specializing in private equity, public equity and real estate investment.  She began her career with auditing at KPMG.

Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in Accountancy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.  She is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and a Certified Public Accountant of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).

Wendy is a Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resouces in CDIB Capital's Hong Kong office. She brings over significant human resources experience, and her expertise includes talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations and HR operations. Prior to CDIB Capital, Wendy was the Vice President of Human Resources at Huatai Financial Holdings, where she was responsible for supporting the management team to strengthen HR policies and practices as well as resolvie various employee relations and HR issues. Prior to that, Wendy worked at UBS' Talent Acquisition Team, specialized in recruiting front office professionals of Wealth Management Team. Wendy has also worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Fidelity Investments.

Wendy received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Ohio University.

Terence Loh is a Senior Vice President at CDIB Capital's Hong Kong office.  Prior to joining CDIB Capital, he was an Executive Director at CDH Investments, where he was responsible for investments and capital raising for their real estate funds.  Previously, Terence was a Vice President and Acquisitions Officer of JP Morgan Asset Management. Terence has also held management positions at Perry Capital, Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners and AIG Global Real Estate.  Terence started his career at GIC Real Estate.

Terence graduated magna cum laude from School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.

Prior to Ernst & Young, Charles was a Senior Associate in the Assurance Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he provided assurance and internal control services for listed companies across different regions and industries.

Prior to joining CDIB, Ian served as Vice President at China Venture Management, an investing affiliate of CDF, where Ian was responsible for deal sourcing, execution, monitoring and exiting investments in the Greater China region. He also sat on the board of directors for a number of the PRC portfolio companies. Prior to CDF, Ian was an analyst at Crimson Ventures, where he focused on evaluating and managing venture and growth equity investment opportunities.

Steven is a Vice President in CDIB Capital’s Shanghai office. Prior to CDIB Capital, Steven worked in the Equity Research Department of Lapides Asset Management, a US-based investment firm, where he focused on investment research of small/mid-cap US equities across multiple industries. During his MBA program, Steven also worked as a Summer Equity Research Analyst at the international and global funds of Arial Investments in New York. He has also held a position at the Asset Management department of JPMorgan Chase.

Steven holds an MBA from New York University and a BS in Finance (graduated with honors) from St. John’s University. Steven is a CFA charterholder.

Prior to joining CDIB Capital, Catherine served as an Investment Analyst at Henderson (China) Investment Co Ltd, where she focused in equity direct investments and business developments in China.   Prior to Henderson, she was the Private Equity Analyst in the Cinda International Investment Group.  Catherine holds holds a B.S in Accounting from the National Chengchi University in Taiwan and a Master of Finance from Peking University in China.

Lily is an Associate in CDIB Capital’s Shanghai office.  She is responsible for supporting the team on evaluating new investment opportunities, and monitoring portfolio companies.

Lily holds a Master Degree in International Business from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and a Bachelor Degree in Mathematical Economics and Mathematical Finance from the China Economics and Management Academy, Central University of Finance and Economics.
